Naples, FL. - July 30, 2008 - Trimax Wireless, a new broadband wireless infrastructure company, today announced it is delivering a complete product line for metropolitan scale wireless networks that combines Wi-Fi, WiMAX and DECT standards. The Trimax TMAX product line delivers high capacity data, voice and video services covering the entire range of license free and licensed spectrum. The modular and scalable product line enables the development of high performance wireless broadband networks that efficiently deliver several simultaneous applications on a metropolitan scale -including voice, video, data, meter reading, surveillance, and public access.

Trimax Wireless already has several successful deployments, including a city-wide wireless network in O'Fallon, Missouri. "We evaluated many different wireless infrastructure products. The Trimax Wireless TMAX Cross Platform product line is the first to combine Wi-Fi, WiMAX and DECT into a single unified system. TMAX includes base stations, broadband wireless routers, edge nodes and CPE devices. The entire TMAX product line is based on modular, rugged outdoor platforms that support a common set of radio modules.

The TMAX 5000 and 6000 series are base station platforms designed to be deployed on towers or building tops at the wired point of presence. The TMAX 5000 and 6000 series create point to point, or point to multipoint wireless backhaul networks that can be WiMAX in the 3.5 GHz or 3.6 GHz bands; or based on Wi-Fi technology in the 5.8 GHz or 4.9 GHz bands. The TMAX 3000 and 4000 series wireless routers support 3 or 4 WiMAX or Wi-Fi radio modules and up to 2 optional DECT modules for local voice access. The multi-radio 3000 and 4000 series products combine wireless backhaul with wireless access. A typical TMAX 4000 could include a 5.8 GHz Wi-Fi module to receive wireless backhaul, another 5.8 GHz module to relay the backhaul to other nodes in the network, a 4.9 GHz module that delivers secure local access for public safety and a 2.4 GHz Wi-Fi module for local public Internet access. The TMAX 2000 and 1000 edge nodes are dual and single radio platforms that fill in client connectivity where needed inexpensively and without sacrificing network throughput.
